FOR THOSE OF YOU WITH NEW OR CURRENT TATTOOS: Here are some helpful tips and tricks to help any of your tattoos look their best!

CLEANSE ~

  • Before cleaning your fresh eyeliner, be sure to wash your hands with an antibacterial soap first.
  • You can use tepid water to gently clean the eye area and PAT DRY softly with a clean tissue.
  • Do not use soap, cleansers, or rubbing your eyes when washing.
  • Stay away from all kinds of washcloths because they can dry out or irritate the eye area.

HYDRATE ~

  • Apply a thin layer of the Aftercare Healing Balm to the recently treated area twice daily using a clean Q-Tip.
  • The first 5-7 days should be spent keeping the entire area hydrated. This will promote even healing and color retention in the newly treated area.

FREEZE ~

  • Light flaking may appear; do not pull or scrub the treated area.
  • Do not use your fingers to touch the tattooed area. Your chance of infection rises as a result.
  • Do not scratch or rub your eyes. Your chance of a corneal abrasion increases as a result. If you’re experiencing swelling, you can apply an ice pack using a paper towel or other thin layer of protection.
  • In the first 24 hours following any facial tattoo procedure, icing is most beneficial.

TIPS ~

  • For 14 days, avoid using mascara or cosmetics on or near the tattooed area.
  • To prevent bacterial infection or contamination, buy brand-new mascara or cosmetics.
  • For up to 30 days, avoid using makeup remover or anti-aging products close to your eye area.
  • While you’re tattoo is healing, stay out of the direct sun because it will change the color of your tattoo.
  • During your healing period, stay away from hot environments like Saunas, Pools, and Jacuzzis. Try not to do heavy workouts as you want to avoid excessive sweating.
  • For up to 30 days, you should refrain from taking long showers as well.

*DO NOT pull: if your garments or bedding dry on the freshly treated area. To help the dried skin loosen from the fabric, add lukewarm water. Then, remove the fabric from the skin with extreme care.
