Is Technology Itself The Thing We’re Curious About?
Or, is it what technology can do for us? Technology is about the tools, systems, innovations, and digital ideas that change how we connect, communicate, work, learn, protect information, and interact in our world.
I think technology itself is a very curious kind of animal. Everyone seems to like it for one reason or another. But not always, when it moves so fast that we struggle to keep up.
For instance, our current cell phones seem to be outdated shortly after we purchase them. And artificial intelligence, AI for short, is moving at lightning speed.
On the one hand, sometimes it feels like a job just to keep up with the constant changes and updates in technology. Not counting the time it takes to learn it all.
On the other hand, technology increasingly gives us the ability to access information, complete tasks more quickly, or even let technology do things for us.
Sometimes things move so fast that you have to jump in, or miss the chance altogether.
Sometimes you just scratch your head, then jump down the rabbit hole to see what waits on the other side.
Follow Your Curiosity
When you do just that, you never know where you’ll end up. But most likely it creates more questions.
Maybe something along the lines of:
- Can you see technology around you?
- Does it make your life easier?
- Does some of it make us scratch our heads?
- And sometimes we simply wonder, “How does this work?”
- And we really wonder, “How can I use this?”
Follow the question, then wander around to your heart’s content.

This definitely made me wander. It reminded me what Arsenio Hall said often on his late night talk show, some years ago. “Things that make you go, Hmm!”
Whether you like Arsenio or not, I have thought about that line many times, in many situations. This is one of them. And, it’s exactly how I felt about the topic of blockchain and cryptocurrency.
